2017 in Review
We build our product roadmap after carefully considering feedback we get from our customers. Here are some of the most popular features we released over the last year thanks to input from folks like you!
1. People Page
View any contact or lead that you’ve engaged with from the People Page. Here, you can filter, sort, and search for folks you have communicated with in the past. And you’ll be able to get a better understanding who is engaging and who isn’t, so you can make your next move at the right time.
Notice the bar chart — it indicates who is "hot" right now and shows how your contact attempts compared to the prospect’s engagement over the past 13 weeks. You can also take action like calling, emailing, or anything Flow-related right from the People Page.
Dive deeper into the companies you’re selling to. If you’re doing account based sales (ABS), Groove equips you with a holistic account view so you can discover viable accounts, personalize your outbound messaging, detect traction, and understand the progress you’re making.
The Groove Dialer allows reps to make phone calls from Gmail, Salesforce, and Groove Flow, and log them in Salesforce with unprecedented efficiency. And the Dialer offers click to call functionality, local presence dialing, and call recording to further boost productivity. No more wrong numbers, no more time wasted manually logging calls.
4. Automated Actions
Automated Actions allow you to set rules so that certain events trigger specific actions. For example, when a lead is imported to a Flow, you can set up an automated action to change the lead status from Open to Contacted. Let’s focus on the Automated Action released in 2017: On Salesforce Update.
With this event, Groove can trigger certain actions if specific fields in Salesforce are updated. In contrast to the above example, you may want to remove leads from Groove if the lead status is changed to Disqualified in Salesforce. Or you may want to add all contacts related to an opportunity to your onboarding Flow once the opportunity is won. The result? Your records stay accurate and up-to-date while your team saves time.
Looking Ahead to 2018
New year, new look
Groove is starting the new year with a fresh new look. We are already beta testing the new Flow interface, which will help you and your team get more done in less time. Besides it's "material" look, you will also notice significant performance improvements due to a new architecture. The new look will be released in early February.
More ABS features
We’re also working on new-and-improved features to support account based sales (ABS). Teams that practice ABS will find it easier to focus on target accounts and orchestrate the many teams involved. Here’s what we’re working on:
Groove can automatically segment all your target accounts and give you effort-and-engagement stats. That way you can see where you stand and focus on what matters.
Groove matches leads to the right target account and gives you account-level engagement signals in real time.
If you’re already using automated actions, you’ll be excited to know that Groove will support more ABS events and actions. That way you can automate your sales process even further, leading to great time savings.
Groove will indicate a “buyer persona” for each contact or lead, allowing you to easily tailor your outreach and increase engagement.
We’re improving the analytics available to you, including adding analytics to give you a better idea of how the entire sales organization is performing, smart analytics that provide a sentiment score for Flow steps, and analytics based on each buyer persona. We care about giving you an edge over the competition, and giving you the ability to make data-based decisions at every turn plays a big role in accomplishing that.
Last but not least, we think that Groove should provide a unified experience across all your systems. That's why we are building a new, more powerful sidebar in Gmail, Google Calendar, Salesforce, and Groove Flow. The new sidebar offers contextual Salesforce data, an activity explorer, LinkedIn integration, and a note taking facility. We hope this allows you to accomplish more in the places where you’re already working — without wasting time switching between applications or browser tabs. After all, time is money.
